The first outstanding graphological feature of the brochure was the size of the pictures in relation to the text boxes, an example of this would be the picture of the tourist information centre. The purpose of this being to attract the reader, to give a visual representation of Florida.
This links to my knowledge of travel writing because in all travel brochures and postcards there is at least one picture that stands out and is a picture of a place someone has or will visit.
Another graphological feature is the directory text box. It has all the mandatory information you will need. Consulates, Tourist information and other numbers, these other numbers include the American association of retired persons and mobility international. Consulates include Australia, Canada and the UK. These numbers are for if you are in any kind of trouble in Florida. The purpose of this is so people know that they are safe in Florida.
The columns of writing are the most prominent graphological feature, this is because of the number of them, and also the titles above them, attract the reader to each one. Especially if they can relate to the title, for example if someone over 65 read this brochure they would already be looking for the 'senior citizen' column to learn about what they can do when they are in Florida.
